200sqm House, Ramat Hasharon
Photographs: Hila Ido
Planning and interior design of a 200sqm urban villa with a small yard. The 40-year-old house was never before renovated. It is part of a row of houses sharing side walls while the house had only two air-flow directions. The structure is rectangular with low ceilings. The terrazzo staircase has been preserved, polished and reinforced to the ceiling by metal rods. In order to bring light into the entry and kitchen area, it was decided to create a wrought iron door & textural glass window system that is operable and semitransparent, while the operable windows bring air flow to the kitchen and the living room.
Kitchen, dining, living room, pantry, family room and washroom and parking space are planned on the ground floor. The stair case leads to the bedroom floor where we created a master bedroom, and a kids room with new large windows facing the garden. a small but welcoming common space, a general bathroom another kids room, a home office/play room facing the street side.
