230sqm Apartment, Tel Aviv
Photographs: Itay Benit
Planning and design in Tel Aviv, the neighborhood is characterized mainly by low and quiet buildings.
The apartment has been expanded from 60 square meters to 230 square meters, including a dugged floor and ground floor.
The addition was designed according to the original lines of the house ‘simple box structure’ with existing beams and columns.
The existing structure dictated design constraints and challenges, marking a line between the new and the old, posed a planning challenge in the design of the spaces and floor levels.
The precision in the box structure is well divided and enchanted and dressed in natural and modest materiality: natural oak, concrete floor, iron frames, terrazzo and natural light.
The structure is designed in a modern and clean way so that it can contain into it and revive all the content that the owners brought with them into the project.
