160sqm House, Kfar Shmaryahu
Photographs: Itay Benit
Planing and interior design of 1960’s house, designed and remodeled for a couple with 3 daughters. In order to preserve and emphasize the special character of the original house, the staircase serves as an entrance hall and as a traffic artery between the levels in the house. The old roof was replaced by a new sloping roof with exposed wooden beams to create high spaces that contribute to a pleasant and inviting feeling. Since the family likes to host, the lower level’s new design contains functional kitchens with clean lines, and a large dining room that connects the kitchen and the living room to the balcony and the garden.
