Rooftop Apartment, Neve Tzedek
Photographs: Adi Gilad
Planning and interior design of two stories 138sqm rooftop apartment in Neve Tzedek Tel Aviv, for a couple with 2 small children. Bauhaus, minimalist, and scandinavian styles were integrated as part of the apartment’s interior style. The stone floor on the upper level was covered with thin layer of concrete, suiting an industrial atmosphere. Stairs were covered with a concrete layer as well, with the staircase rail redesigned in a refined modern style. The future in the kitchen combines different styles – lighting fixtures purchased in the flea market, formerly used as street lamps, and fashionable chairs from 1950s designed by Charles and Ray Eames. The living room shares the space with the kitchen on the top floor and is furnished with a collection of furniture from Paris, Israel and Sweden.
